What’s been going on?
We just came back from Conclave in Houston. What a great time it was reconnecting with brothers from around the country and seeing our KY Eta representatives getting the most out of their experience! We had 4 members attend and they are truly fired up to get a Buchanan Cup at the next Conclave in Denver! The chapter is in a period of regrowth and rebuilding. The PMR has started increasing and the Executive Board is working efficiently. The chapter GPA is outstanding, with Kentucky Eta receiving the second-highest GPA out of Fraternities. Summer Registration Tailgates have been going well, with close to 300 freshmen expressing their interest in Kentucky Eta. The Balanced Man Scholarship returned this fall, with hundreds of scholarship applicants, three of whom were awarded scholarships! Sam Newman, Dylan Johnson, and Keagan Clark the members of our Fall 2019 class, and recipients of Balanced Man Scholarships.
What, you may ask, can you do to help out? I know this seems to be a question that gets asked a lot. The chapter is working on some ideas that can foster the relationship between the Alumni and Chapter and we will let you know of any upcoming events as they are scheduled. We held the banquet earlier this year celebrating the 10-year re-chartering of SigEp on NKU’s campus. It was a great time with about 80 in attendance. We plan on doing this every 5 years! With the Executive Board, I have an alumnus mentoring each of the brothers and would like to potentially get a mentor for each of the cabinet positions, so if you are interested, let me know.
My goal is to eventually have funds where brothers are able to attend Conclave and Ruck without having to worry about paying for it themselves. I also would like to get an account set up for the Balanced Man Scholarship so the various awards would be paid for through this fund. This website offers the ability for you to donate to help make this possible.
So, how can you help?
If you are interested in mentoring an undergrad, let me know.
If you are interested in presenting on a topic on a retreat or chapter meeting, let me know.
Over the years we have lost contact with fellow brothers, so if you have some current email addresses please let me know!

I love this chapter and the men in it. I hope you feel the same way! Let’s work together on making it the best experience possible for them.
